CalmKeeper gives you tools to quickly move from panic to peace. Designed by clinical psychologists, CalmKeeper helps you build skills to manage moments of stress and uncertainty.
---------------------------------
OVERVIEW
CalmKeeper provides immediate access to tools that will help you cope in a panic attack.
CalmKeeper also helps you learn about panic. Understanding how panic works is the first step to overcoming it. People who get panic attacks gain confidence when they improve how they manage these situations.
FEATURES
CalmKeeper provides five tools to help you deal with panic attacks and anxious feelings. The tools are customisable so you can set up the app to suit your personal preferences, or to incorporate the advice from a therapist.
The Orb breathing tool
Maintaining a regular breathing pattern will slow your heart rate and calm you down. The orb is a beautiful breathing guide that helps you with abdominal breathing. Breathe in as the orb expands, and out as it contracts. You can change the orb’s timing to better suit your personal slow breathing speed.
Word Maker
Finding words in a jumble of letters is a great distraction when you’re feeling panic sensations. This tool is an exercise that uses your creativity and vocabulary. You can try to find 100 words on a screen, or start over with a fresh screen whenever you like.
Match Game
Match game is a visual concentration game that’s designed to distract from your panic for more than a moment or two. Tap the grid to find the six shape pairs, and the game will refresh to a new grid. You might enjoy this game when you’re at peace as well.
Positive state coping statements
Coping statements help you overcome negative thoughts. CalmKeeper’s Positive State tool is a series of coping statements that you customise or include your own.
Quick Distractions
Distractions can keep your anxiety from escalating to panic. CalmKeeper’s Quick Distractions is a series of tasks that will keep your focus away from negative thoughts.
ABOUT
Panic attacks are common and can happen anywhere - in a meeting, at the supermarket, at a party, alone at home or in a crowd. You can take simple steps to cope and gain relief from what can be terrifying symptoms. Created by clinical psychologists, CalmKeeper can be used on its own, or in conjunction with therapy.

Pros and cons of CalmKeeper app for iPhone and iPad
CalmKeeper app good for
Whoever created this, ACTUALLY understands panic. Distractions that you dont realize are distractions are perfect. Praise God for this app. Thank you!
I have GAD and have to take Ativan if my anxiety turns into an attack.
I just used this app and was able to control the attack WITHOUT medication!
I would like to make a suggestion to the developers. Can you program Siri to pull up the App by saying "I am having a panic attack". The App could auto load to a screen that give an affirmation.
Sometimes my attacks are so strong I am almost paralyzed. It would help if the App could be voice activated.
Thanks for all you have done to help us.
Some bad moments
The word maker part of this app is what works best to calm me when Im panicking. I just had a panic attack and work maker wouldnt load. :(
If youre feeling anxious, this app is great for getting your mind into a more positive state!
This app is far better than any other anxiety/panic attack app on the market. I feel like the creator of this app completely understands anxiety and how to handle it in a constructive and positive manner. 500 Stars!!
CalmKeeper sells itself as being an effective tool to use during a panic attack.
I know this is an individual experience, but since Ive started utilizing this app 3 weeks ago, I have used it successfully instead of a klonopin EVERYTIME. You have to read the tutorials and get comfortable with it. I also think having ongoing treatment such as psychiatry and therapy from QMHPs also has a hand in how successful this app is for an individual.
$5US? Ppppfffffffff thats how much a single pill of klonopin costs without insurance. Its probably taken the place of $50 worth of prescriptions so far for me. If youre willing to work the app, my guess is that it would work for you.
As I may not use the app when feeling anxious, just knowing I have something on my phone that can help is enough security for me to feel okay. Ive played the matching and word games and I feel very calm with them. They are simple and not pressuring.
Ive also just used the breathing exercise to cure the hiccups.
Even though I may not use it much, its truly the knowing that I have a guaranteed calming method.
When Im in a full-blow panic attack, this app helps bring me back down to earth. I cant thank the creators enough.
Side note: I cannot get the last tool (word creator) to work. It just says its loading, but nothing ever loads.
